Yesterday I attended the LAF at Hellesden Hospital. We spoke about how people are getting on with the 12 things. Not everyone had managed to find time to do the course due to pressure of time. I am enjoying the course myself, although as with everything some things are easier than others. I haven't completed all the tasks, but I particularly like the look of PREZI which is a new way of organising presentations to make them more interesting and have more impact. I'm hoping to have a go at this at home, as I am unable to download the feature at work.
Thanks to everyone for the lovely day yesterday - well worth going and I'd recommend to anyone thinking of joining us for the next one.

Presentations (Not presents)
Yes I have started my Christmas shopping, but apparantly this isn't to do with how presents are wrapped up - but how text is wrapped up in an interesting and easily understood way. I had problems with downloading presentations at work - all the presents I liked the look of online (diamond ring, Jimmy Choo shoes, E-type jag) just wouldn't materialise on my desk, and also our IT don't allow some downloads - so it looks like I may have to try this bit at home.
I do like the look of the Prezi bit - perhaps I'll have more like with this, and I will have a go later this week to see if I can get the hang of it.
I already YouTube, so hope this bit won't take me too long. I presume Flickr and Creative Commons are similar things, but not yeat had a chance to look at this bit.
Looking forward to seeing you all and finding out how everyone is getting on with 12 THINGS at the LIBRARY ASSISTANTS DAY at Hellesden on THURSDAY

Blagger and Twit
Well I have completed thing 2 - all parts, and I am feeling mighty pleased with myself. I have managed to create RSS feeds, add journal tweets, blog and twitter, and I've also managed to send comments to other bloggers and tweeters. I now pronouce myself a fully conversant blagger and twit!

Oh my - I am getting the hang of this!
Woo hoo - seem to be getting the hang of these 12 things, just managed to complete RSS feeds, Twitter (managed to creep through our IT filter somehow?) and now twitter journal feed! Brilliant!
Thing 2 - part 2, Twitter
Twitter is blocked! - Looks like I'll be trying to do this part at home, wish me luck
RSS feeds
I am getting muddled with trying to read the next thing. The order of things is difficult to follow especially as I am not keeping up with it all. I am still on part one of thing 2 - RSS feeds which seems to be a particularly long thing to do, especially if you actually try to do all the parts to it. I have only just managed to create a couple of RSS feeds - 12 things of course, and The Department of Health press releases feed. I'm not sure I will manage to do all of each section. I seem to be taking a lot of time to do just one part - I think it must be my age. Having to scroll up and down the Things on the blog is difficult, and I am not keeping up with all of it. Is there an easier way to find where you get too, do it and then go on to the next thing? Sorry to be a pain!

Senior Moments
Senior moments are becoming too numerous to mention this morning. 1 Didn't save my update. 2 Took too many attempts to work our blogging (my first ones don't seem to be working) 3. Couldn't work out how to change the view of my blog. 4 I commented on Wendy's blog, and she didn't get it? Now we are supposed to start on the next task, and I don't know if I can cope - perhaps I'll be pensioned off before I finish the course?
